Chris Killen's injury-enforced withdrawal from the All Whites'football World Cup playoff dress rehearsal against Jordan in Amman on Thursday morning has given teenager Chris Wood and newcomer Rory Fallon the chance to increase their role in coach Ricki Herbert's plans.

Killen's hit five goals in six pre-season games to move back up the pecking-order for Celtic , but a calf strain sustained during a1-0 league win over Hibernian will keep him out of the international friendly.

No replacement's being called in so the coaches will have the chance to take a longer look at the newly eligible Plymouth Argyle forward Fallon as a possible starter alongside the Gold Coast United striker Shane Smeltz.

The All Whites play Saudi Arabia or Bahrain on October 10 with the return leg in Wellington on November 14.
