League convert Benji Marshall will make his debut for the Blues in their Super Rugby pre-season game against the Hurricanes in Masterton on Saturday.

Blues coach Sir John Kirwan has confirmed that barring any injury this week, Marshall will play.

Kirwan says they'll probably play Marshall in all three pre-season games in some capacity.

He says the former Kiwis captain is likely to start off playing at first five eighth and depending on how he goes he may be given some time at fullback.
