Hawkes Bay teenager Brook McDonald has taken out the junior men's downhill title at the UCI Mountainbike World Championships in Canberra.
Third fastest in timed qualifying, McDonald clocked two minutes 36.49 seconds to claim first place ahead of Australian's Shaun O'Connor.
