The Australian cricketers have gone 2-0 up in the one day series after beating England by 39 runs in the second international at Lord's.

Australia scored a modest 249 for eight, with Mitchell Johnson hitting an unbeaten 43 off 23 balls at the end of their innings.

Andrew Strauss and Ravi Bopara put on 74 for the first wicket, but England lacked power hitters and steadily fell off the pace before being bowled out for 210 with 23 balls remaining.

Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken, Mitchell Johnson and Shane Watson took two wickets each.

The third of seven matches is at the Rose Bowl in Southampton on Wednesday night.
