Carter likely to start at 12 in Hamilton

Organising the midfield appears to be the main concern for the All Black coaches as they prepare to name their team today to take on South Africa in the tri-nations match in Hamilton this weekend.

Dan Carter ran at second five-eighth outside Stephen Donald at training yesterday, with Ma'a Nonu moving out to centre.

After the session Nonu said the training lineup didn't mean there had been a decision.... however one of the other options, Isaia Toeava, may have ruled himself out after suffering a gluteal strain at training yesterday.

The other injury concern, loose forward Kieran Read appears to be over his knee problem.

The All Blacks need a bonus point victory, while denying South Africa any points this weekend, to have any chance of retaining the Tri-Nations.
