Liuzzi replaces Fisichella at Force India

The Italian driver Vitantonio Liuzzi will replace compatriot Giancarlo Fisichella at the Formula One team Force India for the remaining five races of the season.

Fisichella has joined Ferrari from this weekend's Italian Grand Prix as replacement for injured Brazilian Felipe Massa, after initial stand-in Luca Badoer, the 38-year-old Italian reserve, struggled in the last two races.

Liuzzi was the test driver for Silverstone-based Force India and last raced in Formula One with Toro Rosso in 2007, with sixth place in China his best finish.

Force India, who have now competed in 30 grands prix, scored their first points in Formula One at the Belgian Grand Prix on August 30 when Fisichella finished second after starting on pole position.
