Bok scrum still work in progress

The Springbok captain John Smit says his side's focus has been sharpened by their loss to the Wallabies as they look to clinch the Tri-Nations against the All Blacks this weekend.

The world champions missed the chance to wrap up their first Tri-Nations title since 2004 on Saturday when they were beaten 21-6 by Australia in Brisbane.

Despite the loss, which was the Springboks' first of the campaign, they remain firm favourites to clinch the Tri-Nations - needing just a point from their final game against the All Blacks in Hamilton this weekend.

The Boks scrum was put under pressure by an inexperienced Wallaby front row, however All Black lock Brad Thorn says they're not getting too excited about Smit 's problems in the front row in Brisbane.

Thorn says Smit's been found out sometimes and has played well there at other times but the All Blacks will try to put as much pressure on him as they can.
