New Zealand netballers have the chance to make history

6:57 am on 9 September 2009

It's almost 30 years since a New Zealand netball side has strung together back to back wins against Australia.

Tonight in Melbourne the Silver Ferns have the chance to rectify that after winning the first test over an injury ravaged Diamonds side in Sydney on Sunday.

Silver Ferns coach Ruth Aitken says after that three point loss they're anticipating a much more physical performance from Australia.

The Silver Ferns will be without midcourter Lianna Barrett-Chase who suffered a calf strain in the first test and she's been replaced by Wendy Telfer in the squad.
