New Zealand will meet Bahrain for the right to play in next year's football World Cup in South Africa.

In the fifth place Asian play-off match Bahrain and Saudia Arabia drew 2-2 in the second leg in Riyadh, Bahrain advancing on the away goals rule.

The Saudis looked to have won the tie when they scored in the 91st minute, but the visitors drew level again four minutes into stoppage time.

The first leg of the All Whites' final play-off tie against Bahrain is in Manama on the 10th of October with the return leg in Wellington on the 14th of November.
