New Zealand celebrated a hundred percent success in the men's qualifying finals of the British Squash Open in Manchester with all three competing in the event claiming places in the main draw of the $130,000 event.

Martin Knight overcame a 30-minute blood-injury break for his Italian opponent Amr Swelin and saved two match-balls in the fifth game to progress, along with Campbell Grayson and Kashif Shuja.

Knight will now face France's former world number one Thierry Lincou, the No.7 seed, in the first round, while Grayson plays 10th seed James Willstrop of England and Shuja plays 13th seed Mohamed El Shorbagy of Egypt.

New Zealander Kylie Lindsay was beaten in women's qualifying.
