Some ticket prices drop for NFL

American football's NFL season gets underway today with many fans paying less for their tickets this year.

The Dallas Cowboys pricey new stadium has actually resulted in an average increase in tickets across the league, but a number of teams have dropped prices because of the current economic downturn.

The average price for a ticket across the League is now $106. The Cowboys new $1.7 billion stadium has seen them increase their ticket prices by 90 percent to $230 on average.

The Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are amoung the teams to have cut their prices, with the cheapest average ticket price is 72 dollars for a Buffalo Bills match.

Today's opening game is between the Superbowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans.
