The young Phoenix players Marco Rojas and Chinese under-23 international Jiang Chen are in line to make their A league football debuts having been named in an extended squad for Sunday's match against Melbourne.
Rojas, who's only 17, and Chen have been included as injury cover with coach Ricki Herbert and the Phoenix's six New Zealand internationals flying directly to Melbourne from Amman following the All Whites' 3-1 win over Jordan.
The match is an important one for the Phoenix and the Victory, with both teams looking to stay in touch with competiting pacesetters Gold Coast and Sydney.
