The New Zealand netball coach says she was happy with the Silver Ferns defence in their 36-33 loss to Australia in Brisbane last night, but admits the Ferns offence is underperforming.
The loss hands Australia a 2-1 lead in the five test series, with the next two games to be played in New Zealand.
The Silver Ferns coach Ruth Aitken says the Ferns inability to get clean ball past the Australian defence is incredibly frustrating.
She says the Silver Ferns have never won back to back games in Australia but in New Zealand the feat has proven possible before.
The next game is in Invercargill on Sunday.
