New Zealand's Andrea Hewitt has secured third place in the Triathlon World Championship Series, after finishing eighth in the final round on the Gold Coast.
Hewitt needed to stay within nine places of her closest rivals Sarah Haskins and Daniela Ryf to maintain her hold on bronze on the final race day of the season.
She did so comfortably in the end but says a mistake in the swim almost cost her a top ten finish.
