The New Zealand amateur golf team face a demanding test when they take on the best in the Asia Pacific region in Korea this week.
They'll need to cope with the hilly and challenging surrounds of the Nam Seoul Country Club in Seoul, Korea, rated one of the toughest golfing tests in Asia.
A record 21 nations will compete for the Nomura Trophy starting tomorrow in the 72-hole team strokeplay competition with the best three of four scores to count.
The trio of Peter Spearman-Burn of Wellington, Aucklanders Ryan Fox and Ben Wallace competed in the recent Four Nations event in Canada.
They're joined by 19-year-old newcomer Andrew Stewart of Tauranga.
The biennial Asia Pacific Teams competition began in 1963 with New Zealand joining in 1977.
New Zealand's won the trophy once, that was in 1995 in Christchurch while they've finished runners-up four times the latest being in 2005 in Japan.
The other leading contenders are expected to be Japan, China, Chinese Taipei and hosts Korea.
