Teenage defender Abby Erceg has fulfilled her dream of playing professional football in Europe by signing a one-season deal with Spanish giants Espanyol.
Top of their group in the Spanish Superliga, Barcelona-based Espanyol have signed the 19-year-old Three Kings defender - already a veteran of an Olympic Games, a FIFA Women's World cup and two U-20 Women's World Cups - to improve their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League next season.
Erceg departs for Spain on Sunday, and says footing it with the best in Europe will complete a long-held ambition.
