Australia regain top one day cricket ranking

World champions Australia have regained the top one-day cricket ranking after their 111-run win over England in Nottingham.

Ricky Ponting's side, who have a 6-0 lead in the seven-match series, edged just ahead of South Africa and must win the final game to enter the Champions Trophy starting next week in South Africa as the top ranked team.

If England prevent a series whitewash in the final match, Australia will drop back to third in the rankings behind South Africa and India.
