Some of the biggest names in football have paid their respects to the former England manager Sir Bobby Robson at a memorial service in Durham cathedral.

Among those who paid tributes were the former England striker Gary Lineker who said Sir Bobby was a brilliant leader and without question the single most enthusiastic and passionate man in football.

And Sir Alex Ferguson said he was inspired to defer his retirement after advice from Sir Bobby who died of cancer, aged 76, nearly two months ago.
