A former Formula One driver says he believes Nelson Piquet junior's driving career is effectively over.

It's been found that Renault did order their then driver to deliberately crash during last year's Singapore Grand Prix to enable his team-mate Fernando Alonso to win.

The team's former boss Flavio Briatore, who resigned over the affair, has received an unlimited ban from the sport.

Martin Brundel, now a commentator, believes Piquet Junior's reputation has been damaged irreparably.

Piquet was offered immunity from prosecution if he gave evidence however Brundel doesn't believe the driver should have get off scot free.
