Sri Lanka upset top seeds in Champions Trophy opener

There's been an upset in the opening game of the Champions Trophy one day cricket tournament in South Africa.

The world number ones and hosts have been comprehensively outplayed by Sri Lanka who ran up 319 for 8 after being sent in, and South Africa had reached 206 for 7 in the 38th over when rain intervened, and Sri Lanka were declared the winners under the Duckworth Lewis system.

Man of the match was the Sri Lankan opening batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan who scored 106 off 117 balls.

Tonight's second game in the other pool is between Pakistan and the West Indies.
