The former world women's tennis number one Kim Clijsters says she'll play about 16 tournaments next year including all four grand slams.

The 26-year-old Belgian says she'll try to spread out her trips abroad with the most important thing being that it remains doable as a family.

The U.S. Open champion will play only one more tournament this year, in Luxembourg next month, and will start her 2010 season in Brisbane, Australia, followed by the Australian Open.

Clijsters is delighted that her victory at Flushing Meadows may have helped her fellow-countrywoman Justine Henin come out of retirement.
