Midlands and Central will meet in Sunday's Women's National Hockey League final at Porritt Park in Christchurch.
Central finished round robin play three points clear of Midlands, but there has been little between the well balanced sides.
North Harbour missed out on a place in the final by losing 1 - nil to Auckland in their last game, and
those two teams will meet again tomorrow for the bronze medal.
In the men's competition, North Harbour beat Midlands 3-2 to claim their place in the final, where they'll meet top qualifier, Wellington.
The women's final begins at 1.20pm, and the men's game is at 3.30.
