There's encouraging news for women's professional golf Down Under with the announcement of a record five straight events in the New Year on the ANZ Ladies professional tour, starting in late January.
The last three events will be co-sanctioned with the European womens tour, and the New Zealand Women's open will have a substantial increase in prize money to over $400,000.
The NZ Open will be played at the soon-to-be-opened Pegasus township and championship course near Christchurch.
