The Counties-Manukau winger Lelia Masaga's been ruled out of the rest of the Air New Zealand cup after undergoing shoulder surgery.
Masaga suffered the injury earlier in the season but it hasn't responded to treatment and was advised to have the operation immediately.
Masaga, who made his Test debut for the All Blacks against Italy in June, is expected to be fully recovered in time for the start of the Super 14 season next year.
