Tasman move into fourth after beating Northland

Tasman's won a tight road encounter over Northland 21-16 in Whangerei , to sneak into the Air New Zealand Cup top four on points differential.

Makos wing Afeleki Pelenise scored in the corner to tie proceedings up at 13-all at the half-time break, after Northland flanker Roy Griffin had gone over for the Taniwha.

Hooker Quentin MacDonald scored the only try of the second spell to guarantee the visitors the victory, which moves them ahead of Southland on points differential, and to within one point of third-placed Wellington.
