Black Caps falter in final;

The New Zealand cricketers made a modest 200 for nine against the defending champiopns Australia in the Champions Trophy one day final in South Africa.

The Black Caps also lost their captain Daniel Vettori just before the match at Centurion, where they are aiming to become the first side to win the trophy twice. .

Vettori limped off with a hamstring injury during fielding drills about 10 minutes before the toss.

It was a massive blow for the underdogs, given Vettori's leadership, spin bowling and lower-order batting.

Brendon McCullum won the toss but the acting skipper went without scoring before Aaron Redmond and Martin Guptil added 61 for the second wicket.

However after Redmond fell for 26 and Guptill for 40 the Black Caps slumped to 94 for five.

with Ross Taylor and Grant Elliott out cheaply.

James Franklin and Neal Broom took the score to 159 before Broom ran himself out for 37 and when Franklin was bowled for 33
