Kearney in no rush to become head NRL coach

Kiwis coach Steve Kearney says he's in no rush to become a head coach at a National Rugby League club, despite having been involved in taking the Melbourne Storm to two premiership titles in the past four years.

Kearney's been assistant coach at the Storm since 2006 and was in line for the Sydney Roosters job earlier this year when Brad Fitler was sacked.

Newcastle's Brian Smith got the job, but Kearney says he's patient and know he's still got plenty to learn under Craig Bellamy so is in no rush to move from Melbourne.
