Ten Olympians will face off in a one-off clash of the Australian and New Zealand rowing eights on the Gold Coast on Saturday.
The two star-studded crews will battle it out over 2000 metres with the New Zealand crew headed by the four-time single scull world champion Mahe Drysdale and world champion pairs member Hamish Bond.
The Australian boat includes the 2008 Beijing Olympic gold medallist Duncan Free and the entire silver-medal winning men's four of Francis Hegerty, Cameron McKenzie-McHarg, James Marburg and Matt Ryan.
Hegerty says the Australians are fired up to beat their arch-rivals.
