NZ golfer in line for place on the LPGA in the US

The New Zealand golfer Cathryn Bristow has won through to the final stage of qualifying for the LPGA Tour in the United States.

Bristow, who graduated from the University of Oregon, has finished sixth in the sectional qualifying event in Florida to advance to the final qualifying in December.

That will be at the at Daytona Beach in Florida and be held over five rounds.

Bristow was the best peformed of the New Zealanders at last year's Espirito Santo world teams championship finishing 33rd overall.
