The Italian racing driver Jarno Trulli says he is fully committed to Formula One despite lining up a two-day NASCAR test in Florida next month.

The Toyota driver is unlikely to be retained by his team after the end of the season despite finishing second in the Japanse Grand Prix last weekend.

But he's issued a statement to clarify reports about a possible switch to American racing with the Michael Waltrip Racing team .

Trulli says NASCAR is one of the most significant motorsport series in the world and he was very curious to see the racing first hand.

However, he says he's 100 percent committed to Formula One.
