The highly-rated Hawkes Bay rugby full-back, Israel Dagg, has signed a deal allowing him to play provincial rugby for Hawkes Bay and continue with the Highlanders for the 2010 Super 14.
The 21 year old had always expected to stay with the Bay, but had been weighing up his Super Rugby options.
Dagg says as the Hurricanes are well served with full-backs and his wish is to play as muchSuper 14 as possible, the Highlanders is the right choice.
The Highlandershead coach, Glenn Moore, is delighted to have Dagg back, describing him as a high quality player and one of the best full-backs around.
