The All Whites have drawn nil-all with Bahrain in their first-leg World Cup football qualifier in Manama.
It was an even first half with not too many scoring opportunities, and while Bahrain increased the tempo in the second half the All Whites defended well.
It is a great away result for the New Zealanders who return for the second leg in Wellington on November 14th.
The winner of the tie qualifies for the Fifa World Cup finals in South Africa next year.
