The New Zealand motor racing driver Scott Dixon has been pipped for the Indy Car Series Championship by his team-mate Dario Franchitti in the season finale in Miami.
Franchitti took the lead and the title with 8 laps remaining when Dixon had to make a pit stop for fuel.... Australian Ryan Briscoe finished second.
Dixon, who was looking for his third title, says if he was going to lose to anyone he's glad it's to his teamate.
It is the second time Dixon has lost the Championship on the last day of the season... he ran out of fuel while leading in 2007.
