Liverpool have taken a giant step towards their first English Premier League football title in 24 years with a 3-2 win at lowly Norwich City.
That's opened up a five-point lead over second-placed Chelsea with three matches remaining.
Two Raheem Sterling goals and Luis Suarez's 30th league strike of the season helped Liverpool to their 11th consecutive Premier League victory and ensured them of a place in Europe's elite club competition next season.
But it was a nervy second half after the Reds led 2-0 inside the opening 10 minutes, with the Canaries striking back twice to narrow the game to 2-1, then 3-2.
The victory moves Liverpool to 80 points, five ahead of Chelsea who suffered a shock 2-1 defeat by bottom club Sunderland on Sunday. Third-placed Manchester City, on 71 points and with two matches in hand, play West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday.
Elsewhere, Arsenal won 3-0 at Hull City in a dress-rehearsal for next month's FA Cup final to stay one point ahead of Everton, who beat visitors Manchester United 2-0 on the return of David Moyes to Goodison Park, in the race for fourth spot and next season's Champions League.
Arsenal, for whom Lukas Podolski scored twice after Aaron Ramsey's opener, moved to 70 points, one clear of fifth-placed Everton, who beat United thanks to first-half goals by Leighton Baines and Kevin Mirallas.
Liverpool have not won the title since 1990, two years before the Premier League began, and they can move to the brink of ending that drought when they meet Chelsea at Anfield next Monday.
