Deacon Manu in line to play for Wales against All Blacks

9:52 am on 20 October 2009

The former Waikato prop Deacon Manu could be called into the Wales rugby side to play the All Blacks in next month's Test at Cardiff.

Manu, who's 30, is eligible to play for Wales because of the three-year residency rule, after joining the Llanelli Scarlets in 2006.

Wales and former Waikato coach Warren Gatland names his squad in a week's time, but has injury problems in the front row.

Manu says playing for Wales would be an honour but wouldn't go so far as to as far he'd play if called up.
