Silver Ferns want to take away crowd factor

6:17 am on 21 October 2009

The Silver Ferns want to take the vocal Jamaican crowd out of the game as they look to avoid the fate that befell netball world champions Australia on Monday.

The Ferns play the first of 2 tests in Kingston this afternoon.

The Diamonds lost by one point to Jamaican, who were driven on by a very vocal home crowd to win the second test by just a point, and draw the two test series.

Jamaica's win was their first over Australia in more than ten years but Silver Ferns captain Casey Williams feels if they can close Jamaica down early on it will have a marked affect on the crowd.
