An extra 500 seats have been made available for the All Whites final world cup qualifying match against Bahrain in Wellington next month.

The 34,500-seat Westpac Stadium sold out at the weekend, and while the plan for an extra 3000 temporrary seats on the ground was rejected by Fifa for security reasons, an extra 500 seats have been freed up in the main stand.

The extra tickets go on sale next Wednesday.

The tie is level at nil-all after the first leg in Bahrain, with New Zealand needing a win to secure their place in the Fifa world cup finals in South Africa next year.
