Mark Winterbottom has claimed victory in the Super GP event on the Gold Coast to give his Ford Performance Racing its first V8 Supercar championship podium this year.
Winterbottom, who finished in the top two in every one of the four 150-kilometres at the Surfers Paradise street circuit, crossed the line ahead of Holden's Garth Tander and Ford's James Courtney in Sunday's second and final event.
Tander also enjoyed a good weekend, with three top-two finishes to keep his narrow championship hopes alive.
