The Buffalo Bills NFL quarterback Trent Edwards has been ruled out of this weekend's game against the Carolina Panthers after suffering concussion last week against the New York Jets.
Edwards, who has been unable to take part in practice this week, will be replaced as starting quarterback by Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Buffalo will also be without starting safeties Donte Whitner and Bryan Scott.
Both players have ankle injuries.
The Bills are 2-4 this season and prop up the standings in the American Football Conference's East division.
