Ewen McKenzie, sacked in September as coach of the glamour French rugby club Stade Francais, has slammed his former employers by accusing them of prioritising the recruitment of good-looking players for the club calendar.
The popular Stade Francais calendar, called Gods of the Stadium, features nude and semi-nude photographs of team members, and McKenzie has accused the club president Max Guazzin of seeing only two things - his calendar and the team's famous home ground.
McKenzie says the president would choose one player over another simply because he was a better look for the calendar, and other players were asked to leave the club because they didn't want to pose for the calendar any more.
