Thorn not thinking about next World Cup

7:28 am on 27 October 2009

The All Black lock Brad Thorn admits the next World Cup is too far off for him to be thinking about.

The 34-year-old has signed with New Zealand rugby through til 2011.

The injury to Ali Williams has seen him play in every test this year, however the All Blacks coaches will be hoping to give others some game time on the current end of year tour which starts in Tokyo on Saturday against Australia.

Thorn says his body feels great, but he can't predict what may happen in the future.

There is little doubt the other locks, Tom Donnelly, Jason Eaton and Anthony Boric will be given an opportunity on this tour and Thorn says it's good for the All Blacks that there is pressure on the players.

The All Black team to play Australia will be named tomorrow.
