Another draw for Young All Whites

The New Zealand under-17 men's footballers have posted a second draw at the world cup in Nigeria, squaring their match with Africans Burkina Faso 1-1.

After going behind early in the first half, the Young All Whites levelled in the 57th minute from a free kick after some unseasonable heavy rain began to fall.

The English referee Howard Webb then called a halt to play five minutes later as the deluge was causing the ball to stop rolling on the ground, but play eventually resumed after a massive 90-minute break, with Burkina Faso striking the upright but unable to score the winner.

New Zealand play Turkey in their final group game on Sunday with a win for the Young All Whites possibly enough to progress. Even a draw may be enough.
