Deans fumes at negative tactics

The Wallabies coach Robbie Deans is fuming at the penalty count in his side's loss to the All Blacks in Tokyo.

Deans says his side can take some positives, but he couldn't help having a dig at his fellow New Zealanders' tactics.

The All Blacks won the match 32-19 to seal a 4-0 sweep of the Bledisloe series, their seventh straight win over Australia.

Deans says he was pleased with how Australia competed at the breakdown, but he wasn't so positive on the subject of penalties - even asking journalists at the press conference to clarfiy what the penalty count in the match was.

Deans claimed that of the first six penalties, four were in the "red zone" while a number of others should have been given, including several times when he claimed the ball was lifted illegally out of rucks a metre from the All Blacks' line.

The penalty count was 13-9 in Australia's favour.

The All Blacks' next match is against Wales in Cardiff next Sunday.
