Statham sweeps in Vietnam

The New Zealand tennis player Rubin Statham has achieved another Futures sweep, winning both the singles and doubles at a tournament in Vietnam.

In the singles, the top-seeded Statham beat 3rd seed Amir Weintraub of Israel in 3 sets,

There were three Kiwis in the doubles final - emerging professionals William Ward and Matt Simpson, facing Statham and his Thai partner Kirati Siributwong.

In the end, fourth seeds Statham and Siributwong won in straight sets.

This was the second time in a month that Statham has won both the singles and doubles at an ITF Futures event.
