Weepu tells team to relax

9:33 am on 2 November 2009

Relaxation is the key word vice-captain Piri Weepu will be telling his Wellington team this week as they prepare for the Air New Zealand Cup final against Canterbury in Christchurch next Saturday night.

The All Black halfback played a key role at first five for Wellington in their win over Southland and they won't return to training until tomorrow.

Weepu says they'll be the underdogs for the final and his players have to ignore the hype around the game....

It is the 4th straight final for Wellington, they've been beaten by Waikato, Auckland and Canterbury in the previous 3.

Wellington have also contested 8 finals in the last 11 years, having won just one of those in 2000.
