Alinghi to go back to court over racing in Middle East

America's Cup holder Alinghi is still fighting for the right to defend the trophy in the Middle East port of Ras al-Khaimah.

The Swiss-based syndicate will appeal last week's ruling by the New York Supreme Court that rejected its choice in the United Arab Emirates for the race against American team BMW Oracle.

Alinghi wants a fast-tracked decision to avoid delaying the best-of-three series between the bitter rivals next February.

The court ruled the Cup's deed of gift means racing can't be held in the Northern Hemisphere before May.
