6:57 am on 4 November 2009

The Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase Utley is doing his best to keep the defending champions in baseball's World Series.

The Phillies beat the New York Yankees 8-6 in game five in Philadephia yesterday and now trail the best of seven series 3-2.

Utley hit 2 home runs in the match, taking his tally in the series to 5, tying the record set by the Yankees' Reggie Jackson in 1977.

Philadelphia manager Charlie Manuel was at the front of the queue heaping praise on Utley....

Game six is in New York tomorrow with the Yankees looking to claim their 27th World Series title.
