The Wellington Phoenix have fended off several other clubs to sign in-form import Paul Ifill for another two A-League football seasons.
The British-born Barbados international has been one of the stand out players of the competition this season having joined the club from English Championship side Crystal Palace.
Ifill says he had no hesitation in extending his one year contract, and while other clubs were chasing him he wanted to repay the faith the Phoenix had shown in signing him, despite his injury record in England.
He says the last time he enjoyed his football as much was five years ago when he made the FA Cup final with Millwall.
