The Taranaki surfer Paige Hareb made the quarter-finals of the latest round of the ASP women's tour in Peru.
She was beaten by Australian Stephanie Gilmour, who went on to contest the final which was won by local surfer Sofia Mulanovich.
Gilmour still tops the standings after 5 of the 7 rounds, while Hareb is tied for 7th.
