The Pakistani cricket umpire Ahsan Raza is back on international duty having recovered from critical injuries eight months ago when buses carrying the Sri Lankan team and match officials were ambushed by terrorists in Lahore.

35 year old Raza was in intensive care for 26 days, and he's described his survival as miraculous.

He returned to first class duties two months ago, and he's been acting as third umpire in the deciding one day match between the Black Caps and Pakistan in Abu Dhabi.
